Shoes are so many things, to so many people, I love shoes, if there was such a thing as a shoe God.....I would worship her! I have the practical ballet flats, the cute plimsoles and of course the Aussie staple the brazillian Haviana! But...my favourite shoe.....is the completely inpractical all consuming wonder that is the high heel! I adore them, I hold them, I touch them, I totter precariously through my house in them! I struggle going out...like out of the house in them, but hey, who doesn't! I asked a stiletto wearing friend last week 'how do you manage in heels all the time?' I might add she has 4 children and always looks wonderful, she said 'easy you start small and work up' Ahhhhh I was elated, it was music to my ears, I have since worn my iregular choice very high heels, many times...clippy clopping up and down the hallway with joy and fear to 'practice' but alas still to no avail, I still cannot wear high heels but hey practice makes perfect and I aim for perfection! I would like to just say though... that I discovered, on a recent trip to DJ's....chanel jelly shoes! They are pretty and flat and gleaming white rubber with a most elegant black camelia studded gently with the entwind cc.....simply beautiful! Now....every child who grew up in the 70's can remember wearing the old faithful jelly sandals to the beach, the sweaty squealch of rubber on flesh (and not in the nice way!) the blisters from sand rubbing your toes in said jellies and the rancid stench of toes and seawater that had been encased by jellies for hours on the beach!...my new question is....do we suffer rubber rub for chanel?Thursday, 6 October 2011
